My road trip to Ladakh started from Srinagar. This was my 2nd trip with unknown people, first being Bhutan. The whole feeling of traveling with different but like-minded people and exploring places is the best thing ever.

I met everyone at Srinagar Airport. It was around 4 pm when we reached the hotel and we left for Dal Lake in 20 minutes after freshening up.

Like everyone else who has been to Srinagar, we were very excited about Shikara. Shikara is a small wooden boat and is considered as one of the most mesmerizing attractions of the city. The lake market is famous for shopping and there are many shops in the middle of the lake. From fruits to handmade earrings, wooden artwork, saffron, etc you will find all of it here.

Regaining the old world charm, the swift movement of Shikara provides a unique way to experience the eternal beauty of Kashmir.

Lastly, for everybody who knows me knows my obsession with sunrises and sunsets and watching the sunset in Kashmir while sitting in the Shikara was undoubtedly the best part of my day.
