What are the three places on your bucket list, which you dream of taking pictures in? For all those who are going to say, "why take pictures, just enjoy the moment," I have something to add. There is nothing wrong in taking pictures and having some fun! As much as one must enjoy the moments, it's so important to gather those memories. And that's exactly how India's Taj Mahal has been voted as the ‘Most Instagrammed Cultural Heritage site in the World’!

India has topped the 'Most Instagrammed Cultural Heritage site in the World!'

Indians should rejoice as our own Taj Mahal has been voted as the ‘Most Instagrammed Cultural Heritage site in the World’! There's no doubt how beautiful Taj Mahal is. And each year millions of people visit this gorgeous site.

Attracting travellers from all over the world in the old city of Agra, the beautiful white marble monument stands tall telling a tale of history.

Travellers from all over the world had used the hashtags when they posted their pictures with the Taj Mahal. The 'Monument of Love' received over 2.4 million hashtags. Now that is an impressive number of hashtags being used for one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Followed by the Taj Mahal, France's Palace of Versailles came on second place, whilst the Statue of Liberty in the USA with at the third with 2,256,202 million hashtags. Machu Picchu and Petra also came in the list with fourth and fifth places.

Other categories also had some amazing places worth adding in the bucket list if you haven't visited yet. The Grand Canyon received 'World's Most Instagrammed Natural World Heritage Site' with over 4.3 million hashtags, followed by the beautiful Amalfi Coast in Italy, bagging number second spot. One place that I recently came from an amazing trip is Istanbul which won 'The Most Instagrammed World Heritage City in the world' with over 124.3 million hashtags!

Wow, until now most of us probably thought the hashtag is dormant, only to realise how powerful it is in letting us recognise what is loved the most! Now you have your answer to what hashtags really do and next time don't forget to use hashtags when you post them on your Instagram!
