4) Kozhikode beach
Also known as Calicut beach, this beach is locally known as Gandhi road beach. In 1934 Gandhiji visited Calicut renaming the beach so. Extension of this beach is, Beypore, elathur and vellayil. This beach is a food paradise where shoppers could shop to their hearts content.
5) SHANKUMUGHAM BEACH
Located on west side of Trivandrum surrounded by vast stretch of white sands, coconut trees, this beach is known as Arattukadavu devoted to Sri Padmanabhaswamy form of Lord Vishnu. This sea is a part of laccadive sea, where cultural procession was done by Travancore kings, another unique fact about this beach is sagarkanyaka mermaid statue. 6) ANDHAKARANAZHI BEACH
Located 4km away from Pattankkad village, this beach water flows into paddy fields of Thuravoor and kuthiathode. Similarly excess waters from paddy fields gets drained into the sea. 7) PAYYAMBALAM BEACH
