Short & Serene Weekend Getaway

4 hour long road trip from Trivandrum to Kumarakom for a complete unwind weekend ❤️

We stayed at the Backwater Ripples Resort in Kumarakom. The place is just as the name highlights, right adjacent the Vembanad lake,getting a feel of the backwaters from the cute verandah of our Heritage resort. 💛

The entire place is just so pretty. We arrived at the resort by afternoon and in the post COVID scenario, we had our masks on, hands sanitized as we checked into the resort. Meals were all in room to prevent interactions in the restaurant.

This place has these lovely heritage resorts with the rustic Kerala feel. Ours was a Heritage lake view resort which has a cute verandah with two cane chairs and a table and facing a small pond and then the backwater. Just lovely 💛

We spent most of our meal time, chai time and otherwise on the balcony gazing at the rains falling on the backwaters. They had a very limited menu due to current restrictions and we did not want to venture out anywhere due to the same reason, but we had a lovely staycation and a really good break in this place.
