Day 1

We booked a package at Wilder West resort for water sports and one night stay with food. Water sport activities include zip lining, river crossing, kayaking and rafting. We booked an OLA cab from Mumbai to our resort. We started around 12 PM in the afternoon and reached around 4:30 PM. Our stay was on the other bank of the river. The boat ride to the bank gets you into the activity mood straight away.

The first day activities include zip line, river crossing and kayaking. All three were equally exciting, although only one of us could complete the river crossing.

Day 2

Today is the day for rafting. The starting point is around 28 kms from our resort. If you are coming in your own transport, please note that the starting point and the ending point of the rafting is not same.

We reached the start point around 9 AM. But we had to wait for more than an hour to start rafting. There was some delay in opening the dam. Kundalika river is a dam controlled river, the rafting is conducted over the water released from that dam.

The rapids were really awesome. I think it was grade three. We had couple of instances of people falling into the water. But our instructor was quick to pull them back. Please wear the safety gear and check whether it is worn correctly before starting the activity.

After all rapids, we came to calm area where all jumped into the water and relaxed for a while.

After roughly 12 kms and around 2 1/2 hrs we reached the end point totally exhausted. The adventure didn't end there.  There was one more task and the most difficult task waiting for us. We had to lift the raft up to the road which was a good 200-300 metres.

Our OLA driver was waiting for us at the end point. It turned out to be a good idea to come with a driver as we were hell tired to do anything else. He took us back to the resort where we had lunch and left for Mumbai.

Total costs for 4 persons :
Resort - Rs 11200
OLA - Rs 5000
GoPro - Rs 1000
