A day trip to Shangarh, Himachal Pradesh

We hired a cab from Manali to visit Sainj Valley on purpose. As we has sometime left after our work we decided to travel to Shangarh which is just 7kms from Sainj. Shangarh is popular for its vast meadows which looks absolutely beautiful. There is also one small temple dedicated to Mahadev situated on the meadow. We witnessed some local festival happening at the temple. We saw herds of cattle grazing, families on picnic and few locals catching up after their days work. This is a perfect place to visit with family and friends and spend some quality time. There few cafes and dhabas near the meadows. We also spotted a few homestays and camps in the village. We spent some good time there and started our journey back to Manali. There are frequent bus services from Kullu to Sainj valley and Shangarh. This valley has many beautiful temples and unexplored trek routes.
