Sarchu Village is situated at the height of 14,500 feet between Baralacha La Pass and Lachung La Pass. It is a well-known overnight resting place for tourists who cross the Manali-Leh Highway, known as the Sir Bhum Chun. Leh’s around 250 kilometres and Manali’s 220 km. It is a favourite adventure spot on the Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh borders.

Here, at an altitude of about 17,500 ft., the Tanglang La Pass is among the world’s highest motoring passes. The area is relatively quiet and offers panoramic views of the valleys around. It’s Ladakh’s second tallest mountain pass. The pass is next to the motorway Leh – Manali and is accessible by 21 loops. The pass offers a beautiful view from the main road.
