We planned to visit Kerala by road trip.We started Thursday night from Bangalore around 10 PM.Road is pretty good from Bangalore to Kerala via TamilNadu. We took coffee break and reached Kerala around 11 we checked into the hotel we booked near Poovar (sun Tara beach resort).Hotel room was clean and they had swimming pool on the roof.It is a good hotel in that area and near to Wonderful beach then we went to explore that beach .It was so clean and kind of private beach we can see mostly foreigners there.We had lunch in one of the restaurant near to this beach and reached our hotel around 5 pm. We took rest at the hotel.
We woke up and had breakfast at hotel it was complimentary .I loved the food in hotel and outside too and it was cheaper compared to Bangalore :P , then we started for Shree Padmanaswamy Temple (it is famous for lord Vishnu's unique idol and it is famous for having tonnes of gold inside it ) .We went to temple around 11 am and there is dress code which we have to follow strictly.Women are allowed to wear sarees, long skirt or a dhoti while entering the temple and men are allowed in dhoti.Dress codes are there but nothing to worry u can easily get rent / buy dress to visit the place from temple entrance.Mobile phones/camera are not allowed to carry inside the temple they have paid cloak rooms outside the temple ,where you can submit the phones and collect it back after darshan. The temple is well maintained and you get a old world charm.Special darshan is available with 200 rupees ticket.We had normal darshan which took around 40 minutes after that we started from the temple around 2 PM towards Kovalam Beach.
We reached kovalam beach around 3 PM . It was an awesome beach.We took some photos there and then we had lunch in one of the restaurant near to Kovalam Beach.We enjoyed the view of beach from restaurant.It was bit crowded on beach because of high season and then we started from beach towards hotel and took rest.
We checked out from the hotel around 6 AM as we had to reach allepey around 11 AM for checkin the Boathouse.We had already book Angel boatHouse in allepey . So we took break and reached finishing point and parked the car .At finishing point in allepey we have paid parking we boarded inside our boathouse .we were welcomed using welcome drink and it was private boat having 2 rooms.it was Angel boathouse which we had booked.then we started taking photos the moment boat started.it was a wonderful experience and the view I can't explain in words it was so mesmerizing.We were enjoying the view and it was awesome.then we did fishing in the evening when boat stopped at one place around 6.30 pm.we had dinner around 8 pm provided by boathouse.we checked out the next day after having breakfast and tea around 8 AM.
After checking out we started our journey back for Bengaluru and we thought to go Bangalore via munnar and then we stopped at one restaurant in munnar around 2 Pm to have lunch and we had kerala meals and it was good then we stopped our car and went inside tea garden took some pictures and started for Bangalore.then reached Tamil Nadu around 10 PM so we stopped at one place and had dinner.reached Bangalore around 3 AM in the morning .it was around 2000 km road trip .
