Well Covid-19 had taxed everyone including the young and old both. Who would have thought staying indoors for so long will make you long travel like anything?
Me and my two girlfriend’s planned the much awaited weekend getaway to the royal heritage property of infamous Neemrana in the month of November,2020. The plan was of 2 nights and 3 days which in my view is too long as the property can be explored over a Saturday Sunday easily. It is very relaxing but please check if the Pool and Spa is working before going as due to COVID-19 many restrictions are still in place at the property.
BOOKING AND COST
We pre-booked the hotel and got a great deal of 15k for 3 individuals. Their website has issues in payments for very long time now so it’s better to call them and they will send payment details and link over email which makes booking a very smooth process. The breakfast is included and other meals are are to be borne by the guests. Breakfast had very royal feel to it and you should definitely try it out.
REACHING THERE
We took our own personal car and drove down all the way from Gurugram to the palace. It seems like very short distance but given the traffic and road diversions, it took us way more than 2 hours to reach there. So, Kindly make sure you leave at time when traffic and such issues can be avoided. The staff there is very helpful and will help you even if you check in late. On returning we met with flat tire but the staff was generous enough to take the car down to town and getting it fixed.
STAY AND ACTIVITIES TO DO
The palace is an old fort converted into heritage property so the beauty and history of the palace in itself is mesmerizing to fall in love with. The rooms are based on very unique naming structure and vary a lot in price range. Kindly choose well and you can always confirm and ask for rooms with private balcony for drinking nights with friends and partners. The rooms are bit smaller than as shown on website but are well maintained and give royal feel while staying. The fort has activities like swimming and spa which were closed due to Virus king when we visited. The new thing that you can do what we missed on is Zip line. It is very intriguing and enriching adventure activity which one could try. A company by the name of Flying Fox does it and it is a must try at the property.
GLIMPSE OF FORT
It is fun place to relax, click some good pictures for your social media accounts and to rejoice at the history of the fort. They have more than one property and this one is the most famous but there is no harm in trying other heritage forts as well! :)
