So guys I m from Gujarat so to reach rishikesh is bit difficult for me as most of the people find out this problem you can take the flight to Delhi and then from kashmiri gate Delhi you can get a bus.
But I was on budget so I took the train to Haridwar
I boarded from surat at 4 : 50 pm
I reached Haridwar at 4 pm after reaching Haridwar you should go out and don't fall in autowala's or taxi wala's word they will ask for 700 or 800 rs go a bit a ahead and take a sharing auto he will take 60 or 70 rs and one IMP info board the auto which has rishikesh written behind it only that autos will take you till laxman or ram jhula rest which has written Haridwar behind it they can't take you inside rishikesh after reaching i checked into a hostel
One of my best decision was to stay in hostel at laxman jhula as the people staying in hostels are mostly travellers and friendly you will get good knowledge about traveling and most of the hostels provide all the facilities to do all the activities done in the city after checking in i took a shower had some breakfast then I met few people in hostel we went towards laxman jhula and the market around it the market was cheap and you can get some good clothes there
I got up took bath and hired a scooty yup you can easily hire a scooty or a bike in rishikesh and be on your own the road here are so beautiful to ride a vehicle
I went for nilkanth mahadev temple which is around 22 km from laxman and one of the most visited tourist spots
Then to neergarh Waterfall
And I came back and had lunch then relaxed in the hostel
The peace was felt
It was so good to relax
Then it the with the same people I met yesterday went to ram jhula which was also a quite peaceful place at night
So today was the day when I was gonna do river rafting so I went with the same group
River rafting is so much fun and FYI I don't even know s of swimming I was very exited to hit the rapids in rishikesh they provide body surfing and cliff jumping along with river rafting the best rafting in India happens in rishikesh
After the rafting I came back to hostel took a shower and relaxed
I will advice you to take 16 km rafting
And the price of rafting in fixed in rishikesh by government so no one is gonna con you
After the rafting in evening I went to a spritual tour with hostel guide which included a is on temple visit a gurudwara visit and then triveni ghat and Ganga arti there followed by route which passes by food market if you are Indian i would suggest you to Indulge in the street that's so yummy and cheap and your taste buds will explode
So the day arrives one of my main reason to come to rishikesh and it was bungee jumping
There is one company in rishikesh which provides bungee jumping so you need a prior booking your can either hire a scooty or take their bus to reach jumping point its around 19 km from laxman jhula so bungee jumping will satisfy your adventure keeda and you will tick something of your bucket list you can buy your video of jumping
And after this I went back to hostel relaxed and the went for a secret beach where I took Ganga snan
I checked out and took a train back
