Be prepared to go on a viticulture adventure on January 31st 2023!

Invivo Air, which is an offshoot of Invivo Wines was officially launched in March 2022. This new airline will launched its first ‘wine flight’ that will go on a two-hour journey between New Zealand’s Auckland and Queenstown on 31st of January.

Flying at 18,000 feet, enjoying the aerial views of the country’s vineyards, and also a 24-hour tour of Queenstown that would include visiting Invivo’s oldest vineyards named Legend’s Terrace, an opportunity to meet the local grape growers, wine tastings and a four-course dinner at locations throughout Queenstown. The travellers will also get to stay at Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa overnight!

Type of Aircraft

The aircraft that will operate the two-hour flight will be a Swedish built charter called Saab A340 that will have a capacity of 34 passengers, two pilots and one flight attendant.

Flight Tickets

Launched at NZ$ 1,149 or US$731 per person, the tickets were quick to get Sold Out in no time confirming the fact that this is a different niche in the luxury travel market and is quick to gain momentum.

Although Invivo shareholders might consist of majority of the passenger list of the inaugural flight, interested travellers keep themselves informed on the announcement of future travel dates along the same flight route.

Having one of the world’s strictest pandemic responses the country has finally opened its doors to the non-residents in 2022, reimagining tourism might be another way of attracting local and foreign tourists that would boost the economy of the country.
