When most folks plan a gambling holiday, they often think of visiting Atlantic City or Las Vegas. Though those two destinations are notorious for casino gambling, nothing beats pursuing an epic road trip across the United States with stops at the most exclusive casinos.

In this article, I will share my experience visiting top casinos across the United States of America. If you are planning a gambling road trip, you can learn a thing or two from this piece.

1st Stop: Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel

Having crossed the border from Vancouver, Canada, my first stop was in Seattle, Washington. If you will be driving from that direction, there are several great casinos along Highway 5, including the Great American Casino Everett and Tulipa Resort Casinos.

If you are in for the trip, head straight through Seattle to the Lucky Eagle Casino. This establishment is owned and operated by the Chehalis Tribe. During your stop here, you can try your hand on any of the 1300 plus slots. You can also try out alternative options at the best USA online casino sites.

2nd Stop: Grey Wolf Peak Casino

It can be a bit tempting to hit the Pacific Coastal Highway en route to California through to Nevada. But why not try exploring the wilderness of Montana, with Native American reservations and pristine mountain vistas?

The prestigious Grey Wolf Peak Casino is located within the Flathead Indian Reservation. You will learn a lot about the tribe’s history and culture at this casino while enjoying your favorite slots and table games.

3rd Stop: Ameristar Black Hawk Casino Resort Spa

From Montana, head to the south, driving through Wyoming towards the pine forests of Colorado. You can make a stop at the Ameristar Black Hawk Casino Resort Spa after hours of driving across several states.

This four-start casino resort offers a great atmosphere for uninterrupted relaxation by the mountainside. The casino features four restaurants and a rooftop pool. You will have access to over 40 table games and 1,250 slot machines during your stay.

4th Stop: Lumière Place

The drive from Colorado to my next step was quite interesting. We drove east through Kansas and Missouri all the way to the Gateway Arch of St. Louis. This great city stands solid on the banks of the Mississippi. You can literally see the vintage steamboat casinos from afar.

For a great view of the Gateway Arch and the Mississippi River, check in at the Lumière Place Casino. Being a modern casino, it features a beautiful sleek design that lights up the adjacent skyline at night.

Lumière Place serves as a great base for you to explore the Mississippi and its surroundings. Nashville and Memphis are both a few miles away from this casino. However, we would forgive you for spending all your layover time on the casino floor, with 55 table games and over 1,600 slot machines.

5th Stop: Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino

The next drive saw us cut through three states, including Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan. We drove along Lake Erie all the way to New York. Follow the lake to the great and famous Niagara Falls.

Once at the Niagara, book your stay at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. It’s a modern all-glass casino complex with a panoramic view of the falls and their surroundings. The building was once the Niagara Falls Conventions and Civic Center but later renovated to the tune of $80 million to become the largest casino hotel in New York State.

The casino stands outside Manhattan and boasts a total of eight restaurants, several spas, and convenience stores to indulge in. Seneca Niagara Casino is a breath of greatness, with about 100 table games and over 4,200 slot games.

Other Top US Casinos That I have Been Privileged to Tour

While my trip ended at the Seneca Niagara Casino, I have had the privilege to visit other casinos in the United States. Here is a brief of my experience visiting these popular gambling establishments:

Winstar World Casino

Winstar is arguably the largest casino globally. It’s located north of the Red River in Thackerville, Oklahoma. For those traveling from Austin, the state capital, you have about 265 miles to drive to Winstar World Casino.

During the four-hour drive, I recommend that you make a stop at West, TX for some Kolaches – you will need the carb load to spin the wheel all night.

Winstar World Casinos occupies a whopping 370,000 square feet space covered with a wide array of slot machines and over 8,500 one-arm bandits. You will also have access to other casino games such as roulette blackjack. Winstar’s poker room is a delight to most guests.

The Mohegan Sun Casinos & Resort

The 364,000 square-foot casino was the largest gambling establishment before Winstar came around. Located in Uncasville, CT, Mohegan Sun is a great destination for those planning a gambling vacation.

If you are looking for a brief escape from the city, take a flight or bus trip to Mohegan Sun. This allows you a chance to trade the city’s hustle and bustle for a serene and relaxing environment in the country. What a great getaway!

Mount Airy Casino Resort

Located at the foot of Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania, Mount Airy Casino is a luxury retreat. It is typically less than two hours from New York City via I-80 W. Guests are welcomed by the resort’s warm and tranquil environment.

The casino offers enough excitement and activity to keep you completely immersed and thrilled. Casino fans frequent Mount Airy for its diversified casino action. The casino has everything from a cozy poker room to a sleek and modern bookie.

Real-cash slot enthusiasts will be delighted by the collection of over 1,800 of the most modern and popular slot machines. The casino floor is also filled with over 15 table games. Whether you choose to go with a classic like roulette or try your hands on an antique favorite such as Spanish 21, you are set to have a blast!

There is something interesting about Mount Airy Casino; no one seems to be in a rush. Everyone, including the valets, appears to glide seamlessly around the premises.
