Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati

Once done here, our last stop was Dagdusheth Halwai Temple, Pune. This was our 2 days trip to the Ashtavinayak Temples. Once done we felt inner peace, we felt fulfilled, a feeling which cannot be expressed in words.TipsOne important tip would be to carry your water and snacks. Since most of these temples are in villages, you wouldn’t find a lot of eateries, plus carrying your own stuff would save you a lot of time on the road.Carry comfortable cushions as the long journey could take a toll on your back.

Another 5 minutes walk from Shaniwar Wada is Dagadusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple which is over 100 years old and locals say that the wishes made on Mouse's ear which is placed in front of temple comes true.

4:00 p.m.: A trip to Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple was next on the cards. We were amazed to see how well organized everything was despite the crowd. While you’re here, don’t forget to buy beautiful handmade Ganpati idols as souvenirs.
About 125-years old, this extremely famous temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. In case you’re in Pune around the time of Ganesh Chaturthi, Dagdusheth is a must visit for its vibrance and festivity. The idol inside the temple is 7.5 feet tall and is adorned with a whopping 40 kgs of gold, making it a sight to behold. This is the perfect place to make your grandparents happy, in case you’re on a family vacation!
