Day 1
Reached pondi early morning , checked in , breakfast done , rented a bike and just ride for a kilometre and here it comes a check point and i got fined for not having license my bad .
Finally reached my first destination silent quite place filled with freanch and Italians mostly
- Aurobindo ashram
The Sri Aurobindo Ashram is a spiritual community (ashram)
On 24 November 1926, after a major spiritual realization, Sri Aurobindo withdrew from public view in order to continue his spiritual work.
I meditate for a short period and after exploring history of ashram moved towards my second destination .
Making my way through french architecture reached my second destination
Pondicherry museum
As said by someone if you want to know about the place look at its history and there is no place better than a museum to wishper the history
From the ancient coins to the vehicle used by them you will get to know everything even about the bed they use ro sleep so finally i filled my self with the history of pondicherry now its time to look something which youngs looks for .
A chilled beer and a beach side .
I took a beer bottle and searched for a quiet beach . Finally i got that nearby .
After enjoying the music of waves and a chilled beer in a hot sunny day i thought to take rest and kill the noon . So i moved back to my rented villa .
Had lunch and took a nap .
After a good nap restored my self and here we go
Destination 4 - Promenade Beach
Also know as rock beach - crowded beach but worth visiting specially in evening nothing much to enjoy except good photography and a long walk
Clicked some pictures and captured the place in my memories . It was already dark and i was hungry too , so i decided to have dinner and searched for a good place finally i hot one and had a great dinner .
Now its time to explore the night life .
Pondy is completely safe at night. But the markets, bars and eateries shut down by 11.00pm. As such there is no night life in Pondy , if you are expecting something similar to Goa with regards to night life, then Pondy is not the place . The area around rock beach was buzzing with people even at midnight when i was there. You can find bars in french colony which is just parallel to the beach.
So no need to worry. The bars won't be open till midnight, you can grab a beer till 11 p.m max.
Roaming till midnight i made my way back to my villa . Took a hot shower and went to sleep
Thats how i spend my first day
