Oxford Golf Resort, a quick weekend getaway from Pune is located just at the outskirts of Pune. It boasts of an 18-hole golf course, an all-suite hotel, a leisure sports facility. It’s spread in almost 136 acres of land and amidst beautiful surroundings in the top of a hillock.
We had booked a stay in this absolutely stunning property, for our wedding anniversary. We booked a stay from Goibibo at a throw away price. Back then the place had a completely different arrangement for stay and we had booked a nice tent overlooking the jungle. Today they had instead built an all-suite hotel overlooking the golf course which is beautiful in its own way. All rooms are well equipped with AC and a mini fridge. They have a huge balcony with some amazing views. Bathrooms are well made and provides luxurious toiletries for the guests. Since it’s a suite, they have two bathrooms, one for the bedroom and another smaller one for guests, if any. Every suite has a mini kitchen set up with a hot plate and microwave. All in all, a gorgeous arrangement to make your stay comfortable and luxurious.
Once we checked in and got comfortable in the tent, we decide to try some of their activities like archery, paint ball etc. (all on extra cost). We then went for a golf course tour, slot for which we had blocked already. The vast expanse of green trimmed field, it was just surreal.
Since it was our anniversary, I decided to surprise my husband. I called up the reception to ask if they could make some arrangements for me. The staff here are extremely courteous and helpful. Mr. Anil helped me through the entire process and executed it seamlessly. I booked the pool side and got a private arrangement done for dinner, completed with some décor, music, candles, flowers, cake and champagne. We had a butler to ourselves who would occasionally show up to take our orders and make sure if we needed anything. They even customised the dinner for us and trust me, it tasted heavenly. All the arrangements, the far stretched golf course for the view, the light winter breeze, all of these put together, it was just perfect, and made our day even better.
We had a complimentary breakfast with the stay. It was as amazing as the rest of our experience. (More about the breakfast here). After breakfast, we walked around the place for one last time, soaking in its beauty. When we proceeded to check-out, we were yet surprised because we weren’t charged with anything extra (which included the extra drinks we had ordered for during the dinner and the sport activities we took up the previous day). They had included everything in the package of the arrangements I made for the dinner. Happy and jumping with joy, we drove off with many good memories.

How to reach: Pune is well connected by major cities of India through Air, Rail and Road. Oxford Golf Resort is about an hours' drive from Pune Airport. You can easily get an Ola or Uber cab to drop you.
