A short brief about Raffles Hotel Singapore.
Raffles Hotel Singapore is without a doubt the most famous hotel in Singapore, and no other establishment better exemplifies the island's colonial past. The hotel was built by the Sarkies Brothers, who were also responsible for other luxury hotels in the neighbourhood during the colonial era, and is named after Singapore's founder, Sir Stamford Raffles.
