Quickly after the day in Varanasi I got into the train to Jaipur. That train was delicate, clean and neat. Greeted some students who were deaf and dumb. That was so painful for me to see them. Their realm was so adorable. In the dusk of the evening they tutored me their wording..we swapped our contacts..they wanted me to get down with them to see Agra. But had to refuse that. Reached Jaipur and done with my booking at the moustache hostel. I would personally recommend this hostel. Everything was up to the tip that everyone else desired to have. And reasonable too for that knack they furnished.
The evening was well spent on the street reviewing the local dishes there. Aaloo Tikki is a must-try and the rest of the chats are the same little bit tastier than you get from elsewhere.
Very good morning from the top corner of Jaipur city. What a lovely day to spend in town. Jaipur flaunts with the forts, city palace and royal architecture. The pink city they call is more likely to be a color of coral one, has the city palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar mantar and the markets.
Coming to the city palace, constructed by Sawai Jai Singh II, The palace comprises Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal. Chandra Mahal is now restored into a museum that rooms sole handcrafted products and other products that portray the artistic origin of the kingdom. You get to enjoy the architectural beauty of the palace and meet the charming young prince who lives there.
The entry to the city palace is quite expensive but if you have students id don't forget to carry them. You get good discounts with that. you will be awestruck by the stunning view of Pink City from here.
The next stop from the city palace is Hawa mahal, which is on the edge of the city palace. Hawa Mahal is fantasized about red and pink sandstone.
The rare five floors outward the honeycomb with 953 small windows called jharokha. The goal behind this structure was to allow royal ladies to glimpsing daily life and celebrations in the street without being seen because they had to follow the rule called purdah that they are not supposed to show off their faces. The specialty of Hawa mahal is that it allows cool air in giving a pleasant atmosphere inside the mahal. The actual view we get from the street isn't the front of the Hawa mahal. That's actually the backside of the mahal. One can get a clear view of Jantar mantar from here.
After the pink city I went upright to the Amer Fort, which is near to jaigarh fort and Nahargarh fort Because to get the nightfall Nahargarh fort is the best. On the way we get to see the Jal mahal too.
Amer fort is Constructed of red sandstone and marble. The elegant palace is on four levels, each with a courtyard. They are Diwan-e-Aam, or "Hall of Public Audience", the Diwan-e-Khas, or "Hall of Private Audience", the Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace), or Jai Mandir, and the Sukh Niwas where a cool environment is built by winds that hit over a water cascade within the palace. Amer fort is huge and takes time to finish it. Soon after the Amer fort we went to the Panna Meena Kund the stepwell which is so adorable.
The motive behind the stepwell was for collecting the rainwater during monsoons, taking a bath, washing clothes and domestic use. The staircase structure was built so beautifully with unique systematic staircases architecture, where the steps start from above the sea level and descend to the pond area. You cannot walk down the steps.
I was getting late for the sunset so I had to rush from here to jaigarh fort and from there to Nahargarh fort.
There is another stepwell inside the Nahargarh fort. People now throw wastes to it which is very sad to see. I ran towards the sunset point got myself a good seat just to get the stunning view of the Jaipur city.
Wow-what an evening. The sun just popped up like a fireball giving orange-red shades to the sky. It slowly mumbled goodbye spreading shadows. The view from there was so damn good that I didn't feel like going back. The city survived with the lights on them. With the darkness falling they lighted up.
That was the Jaipur in a day visit. On the way back to the hostel saw the Albert hall museum from outside wow..so beautifully lighted up.
