The Auli ride was our one of the unplanned trip, all we knew was the freezing weather and snow we d be facing out there. We backpacked and our bikes were ready for thrilling ride of 300 km from dehradun to auli. We started our journey early at 5 and after sometime we reached Rishkesh also called CITY OF GOD. After rishikesh you are going to face a different experience, for us it was like a road to HEAVEN, you cannot help noticing beautiful mustard fields and divine rivers meandering through the rocky mountain valleys but stay careful there are many rough patches in between where roads are completely vanished because of landslides though landslides are common through the highway and there are road signs advising drivers to continue quicly without stopping. Afterwards we passed through dev prayag- srinagar- rudraprayag - karnaprayag- nanadaprayag and pipalkoti. You may wondering what prayag is, its a sanskrit word which means a place of sacrifice. Well we continued and we finally reached joshimath. From here you can take cable car give you chance to see the entire snowee mountain it feels like you are flying over it and its amazing. In our case it was unawailable may b some technical fault and the option we left to track down the rest of distance and for us it was like climbing the last peak of mount everest but with the faith, hardwork and desire to see the climax we finally made it.
