Mount Titlis is a must visit in Switzerland.
It's accessible from Englebert. It is famous for housing the world's first rotating cable car.
There are two levels. First you go by a normal cable car. Then the next level is reached through the rotating cable car. The journey begins much before reaching the top of the mountain. The view is just breathtaking and the eyes cannot seem to soak in the beauty quick enough.
In about 30 mins we reached the top.
Suggestion: carry along sunglasses as the snow is so bright , vision is a little blurry.
After taking some photos, we walked towards the ice flyer as Our tickets included this ride.
It's a bit difficult for elder people to get on the ice flyer as it is a rotating continuous ride and we have to jump a little to sit on it.
After getting down from the ice flyer, there was a Tyre slide activity. It was free ,which is why the line was HUGE. But we waited as we wanted to leave no stone unturned.
You have to site inside a Tyre and shall be pushed down a slope. You can go zig zag if you have the guts, ; there's a high chance you can flip and roll away. But it's a flat landing,so risk of getting hurt is minimal. For coming back up, there's an escalator in the snow which is an experience in itself. So back from there through the ice flyer. You can get a picture clicked on the ice flyer, costs about EUR 20, a tad expensive.
Then we trudged on to the iconic DDLG cut out, had a mandatory photo with King of romance SRK!- probably the highlight of the excursion!🤑
Also don't miss the vada pav stall below!
An ordeal to have EUR 7 vada pav!
Still not as tasty as our INR 15 ones. But everything is expensive in Switzerland right?
