In a bid to celebrate the rich heritage and culture of the Tamil people, the state government has recently announced a slew of measures to promote the language, art, and cuisine of Tamil Nadu. The government has allocated funds to support sea cruises connecting important places in Tamil culture. This move aims to showcase the glorious history of Tamils, who have conquered many lands overseas and spread the state's glory across the seven seas. These cruises will also promote the tantalizing cuisine, literature, and culture of the Tamil people.

Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, while presenting the budget, emphasized the need to highlight the contribution of the Cholas and preserve artefacts and relics from that era. The government plans to set up a grand Chola museum in Thanjavur to achieve this objective. This museum will serve as a cultural landmark and attract tourists from all over the world, who will have the opportunity to witness the grandeur of the Chola dynasty.

In an effort to promote and preserve Tamil folk arts, the state government plans to set up 25 part-time training centres across the state. These centres will ensure that Tamil folk arts continue flourishing and that the traditions are passed down to future generations.

The government is also committed to advancing Tamil as a global language. To achieve this goal, an international conference on Tamil Computing will be organized, bringing together renowned experts from around the world. This conference will help to develop the Tamil language in the digital age and promote its use in various fields.

The government's efforts to promote Tamil culture are commendable, and it is hoped that these measures will create a renewed interest in the language and culture of Tamil Nadu. The state has a rich history and culture, and preserving and promoting it for future generations to appreciate and enjoy is essential.
