Nakki lake is a small water body in the middle of the famous hill station Mt. Abu. A lake is surrounded by the typical hill station market with food stalls selling tasty ice creams and the soul rejuvenator Chai. There is a walking path for a round around the lake. There are a lot of hotels too with the lake view rooms.
Like every other place in Rajasthan, this lake to has an interesting story behind it, according to which the lake was dug from scratch overnight by Rasia Balam using his nails. It was a challenge of the King that he had to fulfil to marry King's daughter.
There is a Toad Rock near the lake. You can hike up to have a full view of the beautiful lake.
About 120-140 steps to climb, it is a huge rock. It looks like a toad, hence the name.
HOW TO REACH:
The Nearest Railway station to Mt Abu is Abu Road which is well-connected with major cities. From there the bus stand is about a 5min walk. From there the bus takes about 1 hr to reach Mt Abu.
The lake is at a distance of about 3 km from the centre of the city.
