We reached Aru Valley at around 2pm and that was our base camp for the trek.
We started our trek from Aru Valley at around 10am in the morning and we hiked through the jungle for almost 11kms till we found a suitable spot for camping.
We started our trek to the lake at around 10am and the weather was good it rained all night and in the morning it was still cloudy. We hiked through a jungle where there was no trail. It was a crazy adventure.
Once we crossed the tree line it started raining and a there was a hail storm. We should've headed back but we decided that we are not going back without seeing the lake and finally we reached the lake after 7 hours of nerve wrecking trek. There still was a hail storm when we reached the lake and to our good luck after an hour reaching the lake the weather started getting better and I experienced one of the best light of my life and our trek leader decided that we'll go back to the base because of the unpredictable weather. Whilst we were descending we saw a rainbow and it was a remedy. It made us forget everything and a new energy joined the group. Once we reached the tree line we had to cross a jungle and we got lost and we had no idea where we were. We were preparing ourselves to stay the night and start in the morning but to our luck we found our camp at around 11:30pm and we survived.
As a photographer I was disappointed for the first 2days and I didn't take my camera out but the 3rd day was amazing.
This trip was an experience in itself. Places like these make you realize that how fragile your existence is.
I'm so glad that we survived.
Budget : I went with a group so I paid 4k for 4 days.
