Chandoli forest trip

Started from Sangli at 6:30 a.m. reached Shirala . There is a good hotel opposite St stand with a variety of fresh breakfast dishes and good service. (Hotel Chinmay Mr. Yogesh 9850411441)

Then proceeded towards Chandoli via Kokrud, Charan Arla.

Booked local guide and open jeep . They are available just at the entrance at the base of Chandoli dam in Mandur village. If you are going to jungle safari and dam please book your lunch since there are no no proper hotels available. You can book it at Chandoli resort or local person. (Mr.Tukaram Patil/Aaba 7387974686). He is a guide as well as local person who owns a hotel.

Day 1

It's a better option to reach Chandoli a day before and take a halt as per the attached details of accommodations. If you stay , then you can go into the jungle early in the morning since there are more chances of seeing animals. As the day progresses there are less chances. There are sightseeing points in the jungle and take you almost 20 kilometres deep. Also there's a walking track into the jungle.

Then you can come down and proceed to dam you get the permission forms at the base. You can roam all over the dam and properly see the doors of the dam along with the scenic beauty of the backwaters. You can also take your car at the base of the dam along the riverside.

Overall it's a very good adventurous, trekking, sightseeing option.
