"The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea."

I sat on the beach quietly - sea water brushing against my skin, granules of salt searching their way in the maze of my entangled hair, sun rays kissing my body, coarse grains of sun-scorched sand tickling my bare feet. And in that moment, I just knew- This is it! If there is heaven on earth anywhere, it is here.

Welcome to the Dream Vacation- The Andaman Islands!

Day 1- 11th Feb 2017

PORT BLAIR

Our flight started from Delhi at 5 a.m and reached Port Blair( The capital) at 10 a.m with a stop over at Kolkata. The most amazing part of the plane journey is the aerial view of the Islands and water. Trust me, it's a treat for the eyes.

(Nature lovers and photographers-Beware. You would suddenly have the urge to jump off the plane. Do NOT try.)

We set out for sightseeing after lunch and visited Science museum(You can easily skip this), Corbyn's cove beach and the cellular jail(Highly recommended).

After water sports at the Corbyn's Cove Beach

There is a light and sound show in the cellular jail which tells us about the history of the place. Amazing and totally worth standing in the queue for the tickets.

Day 2: 12th Feb 2017

ROSS ISLAND and NORTH BAY ISLAND

We headed towards Ross Island and North Bay Island from Port Blair via ferry and returned back to Port Blair on the same day.

Ross Island was the capital of the British and is almost in ruins after the Tsunami. Yet its beauty is unparalleled!

North Bay Island is a private island which is famous for its water sports. Please, please, please go for Scuba Diving if you are here. For Rs. 2500/-, you will have a once in a lifetime experience. My friends know what a weakling I am when it comes to adventure sports. If I can do it, you definitely can!

I still can't believe I actually did it!

Have dinner or lunch in 'Annapurna Restaurant' in the Aberdeen Bazaar in Port Blair. It is 100% vegetarian and serves sumptuous food to brighten you up after a hectic day.

Day 3: 13th Feb 2017

HAVELOCK ISLAND

We headed for Havelock Island from Port Blair via a private cruise.

Caution: Book your cruise well in advance. Government cruises are far cheaper than private cruises and their tickets are sold out in the bat of an eyelid.

The Kala pathar beach

The 'Radha Nagar Beach' has been named as the best beach in Asia and you'll know why once you are there. You will pat yourself on the back for your decision of coming here once you experience the crystal clear water, long coastline and happy faces soaking themselves in the water.
