It’s never a bad idea to escape the islands on this summer after the lockdown.

What it really comes to your mind when you hear about the Andaman Islands?

Yes it’s the archipelago, the beaches around these various islands.

The simmering blue green waters, smooth white golden sand, the thrilling water sports and the delicious tribal sea food brings the best of the Andaman Islands.

Few things to know about these Islands.

~Andaman and Nicobar Islands is the Union territory of India, it belongs to the mainland of India.

~Indian national need to produce Govt issued Id (any one of from Aadhar, DL and Voter Id), Passport is not required.

~Andaman and Nicobar islands is the first place to get independence from British India.

~Tourists are not allowed to Nicobar Islands as the Nicobar tribes are not willing to get in touch with the outer world, may be due to threat of humans to their nature. Nicobar Islands is declared as one of the world network of biosphere.

~Tourism is the major contributor to its economy due to its beautiful flora and fauna which attracts the tourists.

~Beware!! As the islands are remotely located, it’s no network zone. BSNL and Airtel are only 2G network that work on this Islands.

Q: How to reach the Islands.

A: The best way to reach Port Blair the capital of AnN Islands is by air. You can also reach the islands from the Main land of India by sea (but its long journey of at least two to three days, but if u have enough time and ready to experience the sea life and long cruise or ship ride then u can take one from Kolkata, Chennai or Vizag). And from Port Blair you can reach other Islands by sea. Both Govt and Private cruise are available (Pre booking is advisable).


Q: What are the Must visit Islands and places of AnN?

(Note: The Island is very calm with fewer locals and tourists. Even the restaurant are limited. But it’s worth visiting for its clear waters because it’s less crowded or no crowd and the underwater coral reefs gives best to this island).

A: Scuba and snorkelling are the best activities in Andaman and Nicobar (Havelock and Neil) because of the rich coral reefs, clear water and well trained trainers. There a number of certified scuba schools available at Havelock where u will be first trained and then u will guided to under waters.

Q: What is the best time to visit Andaman and Nicobar Islands?

A: September to May. In this period the sea will be calm, water will be clear, weather will be friendly.

Q:what’s the best Itinerary for Andaman and Nicobar?

A: I would recommend 4-5 days plan,

Day 1 Arrive to Port Blair: Visit Cellular Jail and Corbyn's Cove Beach

Day 2 Port Blair: Enjoy the beauty of Ross Island and North Bay Island

Day 3 Havelock Island: Arrival and a Radhanagar Beach visit

Day 4 Havelock Island: A day trip to Kalapathar Beach in Havelock and arrive Port Blair.

Day 5 Port Blair: Departure back home

(if it permits give one day to Neil Island)

Neil Island (Shaheed dweep) is known for its water sports and swimming at Bharatpur beach and Laxmanpur beach. Howrah Bridge is a sightseeing beach, it’s one of the most photographed location of Neil Island.

Havelock Island (Swaraj dweep) is a must go Island for any tourist who visits Andaman. It has best scenic view beaches namely Radhanagarbeach and Kalapathar beach. The simmering blue green waters and the smooth white golden sand gives the best feels. The island serves a number water sport which gives best thrilling experience and adrenaline pump. If you are a sea food lover then this island will give the best of it, The Island has numerous resorts and hotels of all ranges.
