Chaulher Fort is comparatively unknown in Satana, Nashik District, Maharashtra. It is also referred to as Chaurgad and Chalheri by the locals. Chaulher Fort has a remarkable similarity to Salher Fort, the highest fort in Maharashtra. Mughals secured the fort from Baglan King Bahirji in 1637. Chaulher fort is 3700 feet above sea level. Marathas conquered the fort along with many Forts from the Mughals in the Baglan region.
