Day 1

Welcome to your 'Experience North East with Tawang - Summer' tour! On arrival at the airport /railway station in Guwahati, you will met and transferred to your hotel in Bhalukpong. Bhalukpong is a small but picturesque town located along the southern reaches of the Himalayas in West Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh. The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities. Overnight in Bhalukpong.

Day 2

After breakfast, proceed towards Dirang, touching Tippi, which lies on the banks of the river Bharali at an elevation of 190 metres. Arunachal Pradesh is an orchid paradise. One can catch a sight of colourful and spectacular specimens in the Orchid Park. There are beautiful waterfalls on the way, so get your camera ready! On arrival, check in to your hotel in Dirang. Spend the rest of the day at leisure to explore the picturesque valley in Dirang. Overnight in Dirang. (B)

Day 3

After breakfast, drive to Tawang. En route, visit Sela Lake, Sela Pass (approx 13,746 feet) and Jaswantgarh. Sela lake is also known as 'Paradise Lake' because of its natural beauty. The lake is fully or partially frozen in the winters.

The Sela Pass, is the high-altitude mountain pass located in Tawang District of Arunachal Pradesh and has an elevation of 4170 m (13,700 ft).

The Jaswantgarh Army Memorial commemorates the bravery of the martyred Indian soldiers of the 1962 Indo-China War. Set in the scenic Tawang valley, the Memorial is dedicated to Rifleman Jaswant Singh of the 4 Garhwal Rifle. On arrival, check in to your hotel in Tawang. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the beautiful town. Overnight in Tawang. (B)

Day 4

After a leisurely breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing of Tawang including a visit to the Tawang Monastery and War Memorial.

Tawang Monastery is also known as 'Galden Namgey Lhatse' in Tibetan, which translates to 'Celestial Paradise in a clear night'. This Monastery plays a critical role in the social and religious life of the Monpas. The Tawang War Memorial is a 40- foot high multi-hued memorial, built in memory of soldiers of the Indian Army who gave up their life in the 1962 Indo-Sino War.

The rest of the day is at leisure. One can opt to visit the local markets famous for shawls, chadors, carpets, handmade bags and other handicraft items as well. Overnight in Tawang. (B)

Day 5

Post breakfast, drive to Bomdila. Bomdila is a picturesque town in the foothills of Himalayas and the headquarter of West Kameng District, situated at height of 8500 ft. One can view the brilliant landscape and snow-clad Gorichen ranges of the Himalaya from here on a clear day. On arrival, check in to your hotel in Bomdila. The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities. Overnight in Bomdila. (B)

Day 6

After breakfast, drive towards the hills of Tezpur. Located on the banks of Brahmaputra river Tezpur is the fifth largest state of Assam. The charming town of Tezpur offers tourists with beautiful landscapes, tea gardens and Himalayan ranges. It is one of the favourite spot for tourists. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city. Overnight in Tezpur. (B)

Day 7

After breakfast, bid farewell to your 'Experience North East with Tawang - Summer' tour as you are transferred from hotel in Tezpur to airport / railway station in Guwahati for your onward journey.

- Arunachal Pradesh is a very remote place, so all the hotels in this region are basic.

- The Hotels in this region are small and have rooms of different sizes and offer different views, all rooms of same category are not possible.

- In the entire region, scarcity of water and electricity is a natural phenomenon. Guests are requested to bear with such problems as may arise during the tour.

- Visas are not required for Indian Nationals.

Permit Formalities:

To visit Arunachal Pradesh, Indian national requires Inner Line Permits. Permits are issued in Guwahati, which takes 6-7 working days.

Documents required: 2 passport size photographs, 1 Photo ID address proof (Voter ID, Driving License, Passport - for children school ID is acceptable).
