Sunday Morning decided to go for a trek, Sankagiri Fort was on my list for some time, one because its just 20 kms from Erode and second heard it has great views from the top. The site is maintained by ASI, it has a oil granary, store house, death hole and two temples and a mosque at the top. The trek is beautiful make sure you carry water and some bites. The fort has around 14 fort walls built around the hill. This fort was used from the 15th century Vijaynagar Kings and the last walls were built by the British. Best time to visit early morning for the sun rise.
