Day 1

Drive to Munnar from Kochi Airport, one of the beautiful hill stations in Kerala with unending expands of Tea plantations, spice plantations and a variety of flora and fauna.

Situated 1600m above sea level Munnar is a paradise.

On the way visit Cheyyappara water falls, Vallara water falls, Spice plantations.

Day 2

Ssightseeing of Munnar, Eravikulam National park (Rajamalai), Mattupetty Dam, Echo point, Shooting point and Kundale Lake.

Note: Rajamalai is closed from February to April mid due to breeding season of Goats.

We wanted to visit the Periyar wild life sanctuary where you can see wild elephant, boar, deer, the great Indian tiger and more. But unfortunately the tickets were not available. So we decided to go for the elephant ride and martial arts show which is popular for Kalaripayattu.

Drive to Alleppey in the morning. Check in to houseboat and enjoy the backwaters and scenery. In the houseboat you will be greeted with welcome drink and snacks and if you're opting to stay overnight then you get to experience the kerala style dishes on the boat.

Drive to Kovalam in the morning and visit mangrove forest, light house beach, Howah Beach, Ashoka beach. Kovalam beaches has lovely coconut palms fringe the golden sand.

Next morning we drove to Kanyakumari which is around 3 hours from Kovalam. We couldn't see the sunrise on the horizon because of the clouds but it was a sight to behold.

Also visited the Vivekanand Rock Memorial which can only be reached by a boat or a jetty because it is away from Mainland India.
