Day 1

The land of beaches! The land of love! The land of booze! The land of freedom! That is what Goa is for we Indians!!!You think of Goa and you think of a beach shack with a chilled beer in your hand ,cool breeze of air wiping your face and the sound of ocean waves mesmerizing you. Well yes..it was a long weekend and what else can you think of when you are in mood to be lazy and laid back.

We reached Goa airport at night 11.00 pm and were shocked to see the taxi prices. If you opt for government taxi it would cost Rs. 1200 to reach Candolim area. We tried to save few bucks and pooled a cab with 2 other people . If you happen to reach during day time , you can walk for 5 mins and reach the bus stand from where you can go to Panjim bus stand and get a bus for north Goa.That will save a lot of money since taxi in Goa is quite expensive.

Day 1 : We had a stay at Le Seasons Beach Resort in Candolim area. The hotel was good and on the main road with easy access to Candolim beach and other eateries nearby.First day we started by visiting the Candolim beach. It's nice and peaceful and not as commercialized as Baga beach. The crowd was little less compared to Baga and Calangute beach.Later we went out hunting for a two-wheeler to cover few more beaches in North Goa.Since it was a long weekend, the rates of Activa was 600-700 per day.We somehow bargained and got it for 500 Rs per day.Usually, the price will be 300 Rs per day. Then we started heading towards Calangute Beach and then visited Baga beach. The Tito's lane is very famous for all the party places in Goa.You can try out few pubes like Titos and Mambos in case you wanna tap your feet on Bollywood music.St. Anthony's is a famous outlet if you wish to have hookah along with a karaoke night.

Day 2

Day 2:We decided to do something off the beat and went on a tour to Grande Island. We had pre-booked the tour through a local vendor from Baga beach for 1500 bucks. It included pick up and drop from the hotel,in a very comfortable Innova. First they took us to a place for snorkeling and fishing and then we headed towards monkey beach where we relaxed and had our lunch.Post lunch we headed back to our hotel as we were awaiting for some gambling :) . We came back to our hotel and took some rest post which we started for Deltin Royale Casino.

When its long weekend and its Goa, you cannot expect the taxi fares to be cheap. We inquired few local taxis and they quoted us booming 2000 bucks for Casino Royale. We somehow managed to rent an Activa for 800 Rs and headed towards Mandovi river which is start point for all the Casinos amidst the river. There was a huge queue for tickets and Thank God we made our reservations online. The Casino has free rides from the entry point to Casino deck. The sight of the River is awesome as its surrounded by all the big giant Casino decks like Deltin Royale,Deltin Jack,Casino Pride etc.

I had the best time gambling with alcohol and food flowing on the table.Once we were broke we went to the floor where live entertainment was going on along with food counters. The Casino is open 24*7 but we got tired and in midnight we bid see off to Casino and came back to hotel.

Day 3

Day 3:The next day we bid adieu to north Goa and rented a cab to head towards Palolem beach.Cabs in Goa are absolutely ruthlessly costly and it costed me as much as 2200 Rs to reach Palolem. Another way to reach Palolem from Candolim is to use local bus of the following route -Candolim-->Panjim-->Madgaon-->Palolem .And what can I say about the beach :) :) .........it's perhaps the best beach in Goa in terms of serenity and beauty. We booked our hotel in Neptune Point beach Resort which is right in the centre of Palolem beach and on the sea coast. The best part about staying at a beach shack is you eat, swim, relax, booze repeat.

Day 4

Palolem beach is very less crowded compared to the standard north Goa beaches.Hence, the peace, the serenity, blue waters, blue sky...everything is mesmerizing. We had spent last 2 days just at the beach doing swimming, roaming around, boozing, relaxing. The beach is too lazy to motivate you to go out of the beach area. The beach is ideal for kayaking and many people were indulged in that activity. There are plenty of places on the beach where silent parties are held. Unfortunately, due to elections everything was closed.

Day 5

We headed back to Dabolim Airport with the sadness that comes at end of every trip.
