Lavasa is a city surrounded by the Sahyadri mountains with the Warasgaon lake. It is a man-made, private, planned city built near Pune in the Mulshi valley, Western Ghats. The city designed on the base of a famous Italian town named Portofino which is a fishing village located on the Italian river. It is famous for colorfully painted building along the river which is the picturesque view.

We Booked a Cab from Hinjewadi & started our journey at 7 a.m. in the morning towards Lavasa. It took around 2 hours to reach Pune.
The way to Lavasa is full of scenic views. So, our eyes stuck on scenic Mountain View; some waterfalls, the charm of nature, especially during monsoon season. The day we went there was cloudy & it rains sometimes too. So, it was full of greenery. We stopped the car at some of the scenic places, clicked the pictures of those serene beauty and memorized the views.
As we reached the bridge the eyes sparkled with the fusion of nature and man-made compositions. This Dream City has a picturesque scene, like any movie. We stop there for some time and allure the beauty. Colorful buildings & wide street around the lake looks mesmerized & the whole area was surrounded by beautiful hills, Really, such a romantic place. Even many movies shot over there. The lake boundary lined up by beautiful street & colorful multi-storied buildings look so beautiful on the hills. It’s impossible, not fall in love with this view. After some time we moved inside the city, parked the car and started walking around.
The Architectural detailing of the city is so good. There are various types of buildings in upgrade level: beautiful bungalows, lavish apartments, various types of restaurants on the shore of the lake seems so perfect. This livable town has won many awards for its beautiful planning & designing. Each building was painted beautifully with different colors & most of the street paved in light grey & yellow paver blocks with the various pattern. Also designed the stairs so dramatically in the various pattern which looks so alluring.
Staggered open-air theme restaurants on the street look great with the different sitting arrangements. We walked so long as we indulge in the beauty of each and everything. The hardscape area is covered with the big trees for shade as well as to maintain the greenery of the site, also has some open garden space to relax.
This Italian based city has a Town Hall & the Information Centre which is the heart of the city with the vast open paved area for various activities & functions. This area is connected with a beautiful walk over bridges at one end of the lake. Each and everything was designed systematically which attracts you to move forward.
The Italian based city is popular for varied options of delicious cuisine for food lovers. As we were in Italian based city so tried Italian food over there and it was really awesome. It started raining suddenly so, we choose to sit at first floor of the restaurant, relaxed over there and memorizing the enchanting panoramic view along with the delicious food.
Many more people like us came to visit the city & enjoying the beauty over there. Some were doing water sports in the lake. We talk to the people of the city and got to know many amazing things about Lavasa. He told that the city offers many options to the people for spending a great time by many outdoor activities, water sports. Cuisines are also over there, it is a great place for all the adrenaline junkies:
a. Outdoor activities: Burma bridge, zip-lining, archery, rifle shooting, rappelling.
b. Adventure sports In Mountains: Trekking, camping, mountaineering.
c. Water sports: Jet skiing, kayaking, swim.
d. Cruising can be done over there.
Other than this if one wants to or just need relaxation then, also the city invites you with the open arm. One can relax & enjoy the Cultural Heritage in the city. Also, has great exotic massage centers & could get treatment by Ayurvedic Center too. The hill city is a dream city, luxury living in the middle of nature with all facilities.
The hill city is good for singles, couples, family or a big group. The panoramic view of this enchanting city is the perfect tourist destination for each age group people.
We left in the evening hours due to the shortage of time. So, couldn’t enjoy the sports over there but wish to visit and stay as well. So, that I could enjoy the beauty again as well as the sports and activities over there. Last time I had to visit the city in Car but for the next time, I wish to go by two-wheeler so that I could enjoy the cool breeze & could stop anywhere.
