We had planned to visit our aunt who stays in Lucknow with her family in haste. I had to apply for leave in office at the last moment. We had come with a motive to visit all the beautiful places located in this beautiful city and also to celebrate my aunt's 25th Anniversary. But that one thing that kept me all excited was to have a taste of the delicious mutton kebab paired with parathas (I had been thinking of it since a long time 😅). Talking about the famous delicacy of nawabs i.e. Mutton kebab, it is best offered at this famous restaurant called Tundey Kebabi. What makes this kebab irresistibly delicious is the abundant use of Indian spices. These spices are added to a rich, thick paste of papaya, yogurt and gram flour, blended in with minced meat and made into small patties that are shallow-fried on a large cast-iron girdle heated by smouldering charcoal. The galawati was first made for an ageing nobleman with no teeth by the one-armed chef Haji Murad Ali, who also founded the legendary restaurant in the old quarters of Aminabad. Day 2

We had a good family time at home after which we decided to visit the famous Ambedkar Memorial Park.

It is formally known as Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Prateek Sthal, is a public park and memorial in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. The memorial is dedicated to B. R. Ambedkar, the 20th century Indian polymath and the "father of the Indian Constitution".

"The complex is a feat of monumentalism, spread over a hundred acres in the heart of the capital city of India’s most populous state, Uttar Pradesh. Made in marble and a sandstone reminiscent of great seats of power – such as Delhi’s South Block or the Red Fort – the park is composed of vast open spaces dotted with bronze fountains, Ashokan columns, urns, friezes and stupa-like edifices. An alley of 124 monumental elephants, evoking the avenues of ram-headed sphinxes in Egypt’s Karnak and Luxor, leads to a massive inclined plane that is flanked by two tall statues of Mayawati, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and head of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), and her mentor Kanshi Ram, both holding sheaves of wheat." - Source: https://theprint.in/opinion/unlike-colston-or-columbus-ambedkar-memorial-statues-deserve-their-place-in-public-spaces/441254/

On our third day in Lucknow, we spent the day celebrating my cousin's birthday at Gomti Riverfront Park and ended up at Barbeque Nation in the evening. We had a nice family time and then we headed back home after a quick photo session.
