Dotted with beautiful islands, Ulsoor Lake is quite popular amongst tourists who wish to spend moments of peace and tranquility and rejuvenate amidst nature. This lake is used as one of the important venues for the Ganesha Festival. Subbaraya Temple, Gurudwara, the Kensington Park and the recreational park are some of the sightseeing places which are located close by.

Why visit Ulsoor Lake?

Ulsoor Lake is renowned for its beautiful temples, the oldest of them being the Halasuru Someshwara Temple. The lake is marked with several mesmerising ancient temples and islands in its vicinity, which makes it an interesting spot for photographers and tourists!

Their is a boat club where you can book a cruise or go for boating. The cruise takes you around the lake, with stopovers at some of these beautiful islands where you can spot various flowers, insects and birds such as purple swamp hen, brahmani kite, crane or a heron. Not just that, you can also go for swimming in the morning or in the evening.
