What all I saw in Mumbai for one day halt?

Day 1

4th Jan 11.55 pm, I left for Mumbai from Chennai through Mumbai express and the next to next day around 4 am I was at CST station. I love and prefer exploring city early morning.. Its silent and peaceful (obviously if everyone one will start thinking that way, it wouldn't be that way any more.. So shhh keep it secret :P ).

I had already checked what all is near by to that station! N wohoo!! Marine drive! wow! So I started walking towards it by asking lot of Bhaiyas about the right direction. I took local train near some church gate I guess (I cudnt recall, sorry :( ). So it was around 4.30 am I reached (walk included, its not that far from CST). People were jogging there, exercising, some were just slowly waking on the boundaries of marine drive and I took out my headphone, played Eddie's song and sat there for a while and enjoyed the moment. Cold breeze, not much of a shout (but yes lot of people were there for normal morning exercise and stuff). I waited till the sun comes up, I walked to and fro (n its not uncommon that some creepy people looking at u suspiciously while you are walking alone.. So let it go )

Here is the moment:

After I was done (not literally, just for the day :D ) with marine drive, I took a taxi (like how it is auto , they have sharing taxis) and went towards Gateway of India! Again, its not far.. Just some 15 minutes away. I stayed there for a while and clicked pictures. There is Taj hotel as well. Plus there is one Elephanta caves you may go if you want, they will charge 250 Rs. and will take you towards that through a ferry or kinda boat and you must dedicate 3-5 hours for that because it will take 1 hour to go and another 1 hour to comeback and now it depends on you how much time you wanna spend there also depends on for how much time the ferry wala wants you to be there! I dint go to elephanta caves because I dint hv that much time, but hey! here are some pics for Gateway of India:

It was almost some two hours for me here. So I called my one friend back from school, he is completing his MBA at St. Xavier's college (yes! Where 'Jaane tu ya jaane na' got shooted). So he came and we went to mcD somewhere near and then I tried some local food while walking towards his college and those foods were yumm!! and cheap at the same time! I tried vada pav (famous thing there! ), Dahi vada, etc. And then we reached the college, I saw a bit of it and left after saying bye to my friend!

Jaane tu ya jaane na!

Now when I was returning back for my next journey (I will tell you may be in next post about this) I stopped at a chai cafe (things I usually do while I am traveling) , named "chai pe charcha".. Some where around CST region only! They were so nice and calm and funny and cooperative! I really loved them!! I even wrote something about them and the cafe on a tissue paper, hopefully its still there ???? (chandni , 4th Jan 2017, from chennai!! Just in case if any one finds that ????)

Here!!... what was on the wall! :

Achha bye! Happy exploring people!
