Nagalamadike is just 15 km from Pavagada, Tumkur district. Newly laid roads make this an easy ride for visitors.

Location: Google map link

Ngalamadike Sri Subramanya Temple is well known place in our locality and will be flooded with devotees during three "Subramanya Shasti" between November to February.

This is the whatsapp status of most people of Pavagada who generally visit the dam during the rainy season. Popularity of this place is restricted to whatsapp status as of now and wanted to expose this beautiful check dam to all by publishing it here.

Many places in India are still hidden, we need to explore them and share with the world. Tripoto gives us an opportunity do this.

Very less water and slow flow makes its an ideal place for kids to play and enjoy water

How to reach here:

This place can be reachable by both private and government buses from Pavagada (this is around 160 kms from Bengaluru or 100 kms from Tumakuru). Its hardly 20-30 mins journey in bus from pavagada.

Also, we can hire an Auto or local taxi if we are looking for quicker and private commute.

Lastly, small note to parents 'Where ever possible we need to give the kids an opportunity like this to enjoy playing in natural sources of water'

Not sure, if the future generations will see wells, lakes, rivers so we need to show them when available and bring awareness of saving water, planting trees (source of rain) and in general conservation of nature.

It is our moral responsibility to conserve this gorgeous nature which we have rejoiced a lot in our life
