Have you ever fallen in love with someone? Most of you might have fallen in love. But today here, I want to ask you, have you ever fallen in love with the vibes of the place..? For me, the answer to this is a big YES.. :)

I took a trip to Rishikesh, Uttrakhand in January. It was my first visit to Rishikesh. Rishikesh is also known as the Yoga Capital of the World and is also the gateway to the mighty Himalayas. It is also the starting point of Char Dham Yatra(Four Shrines Sacred Journey). It is also a point of attraction for adrenaline junkies for its adventure activities like- Bungee Jumping and River Water Rafting.

I booked my stay in Shalom Backpackers Hostel. It is located in Laxman Jhula area and is like 500 meters walking distance from Laxman Jhula. It is also at a walking distance from some famous cafes of Rishikesh severing mouth watering food like Freedom cafe, Ganga Beach cafe, Beatles’ cafe. So staying here is a good option if you want to spend late evening hours in these cafes and taking a stroll back to your hostel.

The vibes here are amazing and this is usually occupied by bunch of young people. This is among the best properties to stay in Rishikesh. This hostel is equipped in all basic amenities, rooms are basic with attached washroom, it provides a beautiful and majestic view of Ganga. The added advantages include that they have a small area for bibliophiles, music lovers and for board game lovers. They have a cafe within the property and a common garden facing the Ganga. The cost per room for two individuals is around 1000 rupees.

The vibes here will catch all your heart. In common area/garden inside this property, you can find some bunch of guys working from mountains and enjoying tea, some practicing sonorous beats on their guitar, some capturing the beauty of the place by sitting in solitude facing Ganga, a few engaged in deep meaningful conversations, some couples enjoying tea and maggi in garden sitting on recliners, and few celebrating their win in match of Carom or some other board games.

In early morning hours you can indulge in practicing yoga in the common garden facing Ganga, or enjoying the cup of morning tea with a majestic view is not something to miss out. At evenings, you can enjoy the jam sessions which are held in this hostel with the spectacular view of Ganga. As a youngster you will feel this is what you were longing for — serenity, calmness, majestic view of Ganga, late night visits to cafes around, chill vibes and the friendly bunch of people to enjoy with :)

I fell in love with the vibes which I experienced here and longing to feel same vibes again.
