Day 1

#OffbeatUttarakhand

Rishikesh, possibly the closest most loved tourist destination from Delhi (6-7 hr bus travel)

We moved from Delhi ISBT bus stand at 8'o clock in the morning and reached there at 2:30 PM. I'd recommend a day trip while going to Uttarakhand. It will give you chance to enjoy the scenaries & beautiful weather.

Bus fare : 800-900 per person

We booked hotel closer to " Laxaman & Ram Jhula".

The Hotel was Smridhi retreat, a nice well located hotel with top-notch service and great view from balcony.

It also has two cafe's nearby - Swiss open garden restaurant. Here you can enjoy tasty food while relaxing around bornfire.

The other Cafe is Road house bistro. A beautifully designed Cafe with nice ambience. We enjoyed food at both the restaurant each for two different days.

After reaching hotel we refreshed ourself and moved from there to Lakshman Jhula on feet. It was around 1.2 Km from our Hotel location. There are many traditional wear clothes in between where one can buy some unique stuff.

You can also rent a scooty/Bike to roam around but I'd recommend not to. As the beauty of the nature can only be best experienced by walking through it.

Rishikesh is all about experiencing the peace and beauty of the nature. Same you will experience while on Lakshman Jhula when you will have Ganga river flowing under it and if you are visiting it in the evening time like me, you will get to hear the beautiful chimes of Ganga aarti as well.

Then we relaxed at Riverside for a while and moved back to Hotel location and had our dinner at Road side bistro. They serve all Continental & Indian food with beer and hookah as well.

Day 2

The second day we had our breakfast with a lovely view from the terrace. From there we moved to Ram Jhula. This bridge is larger and wider than Lakshman Jhula.

Here you can take variety of photographs for your Instagram/Facebook/Tripoto.

Closer to the bridge there are boat ride services available at riverside. There you can enjoy boat rides. River rafting is also available there.

Post enjoying boat ride we moved to Beatles ashram. It is almost 1.5 Km from Ram Jhula.

On the way, there are many architecturely beatiful temples and and this iconic Shiv statue.

If you are planning to visit this place which you definitely should, please spare 4-5 hours for this.

This is a widely spreaded landmark with ancient as well as modern structures.

It is difficult to write down about Beatles ashram as it is more about experiencing it.

From roaming around wood with continuous sound of chirping to bird eye view of Rishikesh from a hill, you get all at Beatles ashram.

Spend some time there, It felt amazing.

We took our return  bus at 11:15 PM in midnight and reached back to Delhi at 4' o clock.
