Krisu, A small quaint town perfectly placed in between Oak, Deoder Trees and Apple Orchards in the hills near Puari Garhwal. Not much is been written and explored about Khirsu and that’s the beauty of this small town. Khirsu was always on my 2014 “To Do” list. The trip happened in the month of September and I feel was the perfect weather to visit the place as the Nip in the air was just perfect. Roads till Pauri was amazingly quite, well laid tarmac makes Uttrakhand class apart for me.
However, roads from Pauri to Khirsu was a different story all together. The distance of 15 km feels like a walkway for some english house. Both sides of the road were completely filled with trees reaching till the sky. A complete segregated town that goes no where.
In the end, a great weekend with amazing mates, made that weekend a “Perfect Getaway”. 700 Kms of shear memories. The memories we all gonna cherish, the stories we all gonna brag about. The journey to Khirsu, a mesmerising one.
Tips for travellers:
- GMVN Khirsu would be the best stay option available as not much are available.
