So , I got my training centre for ILP as Trivandrum , and hence I landed into this God's own country Kerala and my attempt to explore south India started.
So what to do in Trivandrum :
Kovalam Beach : It is 16 kms from the city , you can get a bus to the Kovalam beach from market . Kovalam has a light house and the night life is pretty chilled here.
Varkala beach and Varkala cliff : Yes, this has been my most fav beach so far , around 30 kms from the city. You can take a train which shall drop you to the varkala junction but I chose to ride .
The Varkala beach is also known as PaapNasham beach. The nightlife here is pretty awesome. I visited this beach thrice and you get to enjoy a pretty chilled nightlife with some foreigners.
Varkala cliff has the most active nightlife : Unique red sandstone cliff formations by the Arabian Sea with steps leading to a popular beach.
Shankumugam beach : So the people will ask you to visit this beach but I did not like it much . It is not as clean as the Kovalam and the Varkala beach. Rather it is the Kerala version of the Mumbai Chowpatty!
Padmanabhswamy Temple : It is located in the East Fort. It is believed to be the world's richest temple. Also there are Kuthira Mallika palace of the royal family . ALso there is Maharaja swathi thirunal office.
Perumathura and Muthalapozhi : Sleepy village near to Trivandrum. If you are fond of riding bike, this is a place you should ride to.
I had my first tinder date here. The scenic beauty , the sound of the sea, the Fishermen fishing in the sea, the rocks on the side give you a perfect romantic feel!
It accompanies the Muthalapozhi backwaters.
Be aware of the Rickshaw walas over here and be ready to bargain. They charge you a lot .
