It was a quick decision and a quick weekend trip, but the memories are not something that you can quickly to get over with! So, after almost two years, I can still distinctly remember the enjoyment and fun we had! The hilarious spelling-mistakes on the menu card, the jokes that we till date share, and the experiences we gathered - all are li'l jewels and can brighten up any gloomy day!
It was two day road trip in two cars. We stayed at Haritha Berm Park, an APTDC hotel in Vijayawada and roamed around the historic Undavalli Cave temple, Bhavani Island and Kondapalli Fort. Later, on the island we found out the tree resorts, which looked amazing, but sadly no booking was available by that time!
It is not a destination where you can expect to do many activities except for hiking and just visiting the caves and other tourist attractions. But when in a group, you never run out of ideas to enjoy your stay there. So, once we came back, it was game time in the evening and then a long nighter we pulled out on the terrace adjacent to one of our hotel rooms and had our own rocking party! :D
Our 1st day we spent visiting the Cave-temples and the Bhavani Island. 2nd day on our way back we visited the fort. You will get frequent ferry services from the Berm hotel itself to Bhavani Island and back. The island can be a nice picnic spot, as well.
All in all, a nice outing!
