Tibet border trek with a Israeli...in kinnaur.

So it was back in 2015_16 almost 7-8 years ago.
I belong to nako village district kinnaur Himachal Pradesh.
Nako is famous for a 1000 year old monastery associated with rinchen zangpo and a lake in the laps of mighty REO PURGYUL heights.

We have a festival 🎎 called GEZA every year. For this festival 🥮  we have to go to somang.
Now, somang is located near indo Tibet border.
We have to walk for around 6-7 hours approx.
It can vary from person to person.
The trail is above our village.
On the way to somang, tashigang monastery is located.
Tashigang monastery is very famous. It has been widely known to people's by the folk songs related with it .

So back to 7-8 years ago.
It was my first time ever to somang.
I have been now there for almost 4 times.
But my first time was memorable as I met with a Israeli tourist on the way to there.
His name was Gillard.
He met me on the way....might be just 1 hour into the trail.
We were around 30_40 peoples something.
From there on, we two hiked along. He was a strong built man of around 27-28 years. I was about 19-20.

When we reached somang, he was tired 😴 . He was  thrilled by the welcoming nature of kinnauri peoples.
We shared our meals. He had one magnetic wood ♟️ chess.
So we two just sat and played some rounds.
Till date 📅 i still remember him.
It might be because, I've never met again someone like him. So, enthusiastic and thrill seeker.
