Bamboo chicken

Vizag is a very small, beautiful, exotic city surrounded by hills and beaches. This city has got a different charm of it's own.The roads here are very good and the city is also very clean. There are many places to visit here ranging from hills to beaches.Three days is enough to visit Vizag.

There are many temples present here but the most famous of them and most visited one is the Simhachalam Temple, which is loacted on a hill on the outskirts of the city.Give a visit to this temple if you are a religious person.

The best place to visit here is Borra caves. It will be new experience for many travellers. The caves are quite gigantic and well maintained.Just loved this place.Araku valley is a small hillstation located around 100kms from vizag.Try the famous and very tasty bamboo chicken here in Borra caves.Borra caves is on the way to araku.

Beaches are plentily in Vizag which includes Rishikonda beach,Rk beach, etc. But the best beach is Rk beach, which is clean and well maintained.During my visit in January, due to Internatinal fleet summit, there were tanks and helicopters of the Indian navy.I got the opportunity to see the mock drill of the navy for the main events.Rishikonda beach is a dirty beach, which is not good at all.

Also, visit the kailashgiri hills as there are lot of things to do here.It offers a scintillating view of the vizag city, beaches and hills.

Overall experience of Vizag was superb.Do give a visit to this charming city to spend a peaceful holiday. The iddli and vadda of vizag was classic.

Simanchalam Temple is the place of worship around 20 kms from Vizag. It is located on a small hill.It is a must visit if one wants to gain spiritual peace.
This is another small hill located on the outskirts of Vizag city. One gets to see a beautiful and scenic view of the hills and the ocean. There are many activities to do here.I went in the toy train here for a ride, which was not good.I would rather recommend to walk and see the entire area. Also near to this place is rishikonda beach, which is not that good beach.
This is the best and the most unique place of Vizag . Bora cave is a large cave which is formed of calcium silicate. It is a very humongous cave and it is a totally different experience visiting this cave. The bamboo chicken here is mouth watering and very delicious.Bamboo chicken is also very healthy as there is no use of oil.Visiting Bora Caves was the best part of the trip.
Actually Bora caves is on the way to Araku. So i spent a lot of time at Borra and there was very less time to see Araku valley. It is just a small hill station. There are some places to visit here but due to lack of time i could visit very less place here.
This is the centre and heart of vizag. If one wants to do shopping, then this is the perfect place. There are malls, street shops, etc. The Rk beach is located 5 kms from here.Rk beach is better than all other beaches of vizag.
