"What to wear for a beach vacation in India" is a oft debated topic. Yes we want to look fashionable and chic , but without sacrificing comfort and convenience.
Here's some beach essentials that made my Goa trip easy breezy yet fashionable.
As I get conscious wearing short clothes , this list is mainly lots of modest clothing that you can wear as a girl- no matter what your age is or who you are travelling with.
What to carry:
1.Sunglasses
2.Sunscreen
3.Flip flops
4.Sarong/ cover up
5.Bright lipstick/ tinted lipbalm
6.Chunky jewellery
7.Cotton dreses, shorts, palazzos
8.Summery tops- bright, printed etc
9.A handy bag
What not to carry:
1.Gold, silver jewellery
2.Jeans
3. Leather, velvet clothes etc
4.Formal clothes
5.Makeup kit- it's hot and humid, just lipstick and eyeliner is more than enough.
Also pack light if you plan to buy from local shops in Goa.
I bought a few dresses and jewellery from Baga, Anjuna and Calungute.
Pro tip: If you are like me and don't like repeating vacation clothing, then shop from local street shopping areas and Flea markets to save some money . Remember, looking good is about the styling, not the clothes.
