Why bir?
This is the question I get a lot when I pester my colleagues to visit Bir at least once…
and my answer is simple - I visited Bir for just two days and ended up staying for six months and counting.
Yeah, you heard that right! And what made my experience even more magical was the Bir Music Festival that I attended. Trust me, it was one of a kind music and art festival featuring some of the most mind-blowing artists I've ever seen.
If you're a holy worshipper of music like me, you would've found yourself in heaven at this festival. The atmosphere was electric, the music was mesmerizing, and the crowd was a mix of locals and tourists who were all there for one common reason - to enjoy good music and have a blast. The festival had something for everyone, from rock to pop to indie to techno. Every performance was unique, and I found myself lost in the music, dancing like there was no tomorrow.
And the highlight of this highlight were “THE INDIAN OCEAN”.
Once a legend always a legend. I was losing my mind watching Raghu Ram sir with a white beard owning up the stage like a young blood. And oh when he sang, “Are ruk ja re bande…” Literal goosebumps!!!
Yet interestingly, it wasn't just the music that made this festival so special. The art installations were another highlight of the festival. They were just mind-blowing, and I couldn't stop myself from clicking pictures with every single one of them. It was like walking through a dreamland, where every corner had something new and exciting to offer.
The organizers had done a fantastic job of making sure that the festival didn't harm the environment in any way, which was a huge relief for me.
I am back at my office in Bangalore but mentally I am still in Bir Music Festival. It won’t be possible to move on from the simply breathtaking natural beauty of the Bir and Bir Music Festival.
To sum it up, my experience at the Bir Music Festival was nothing short of magical. It was the perfect combination of music, art, and nature, and I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else at that moment. If you get the chance to attend this festival, I highly recommend it. Trust me; you won't regret it!
