On a bright and dull day , as a good friend got up early to attend a wedding, little I knew I would come across a beautiful temple in the city.
The photos are clicked in mobile, please excuse the clarity.
This beauty is located in begur, a small town in Bangalore city, known as pancha lingeshwara temple(pancha means five).
This temples dates back 1000 years ago, which uses the word of Bengaluru in it's incription which proves the the word Bengaluru was anointed 1000 years ago, such a beautiful piece of history hidden right in front of us.
The temple also has lots of history to share , they have all the stone carvings and idols for display.
Important tip: The temple closes by 11.30 , so better to reach early.
As mentioned before , the temple has 5 lingas and parvathi, each of the lingas are situated in the old temples , as the temple closes early and opens late in the evening it's better to plan early.
Some surprises are memorable , and every travel is a surprise I totally believe this.
Visit this temple without miss.
