Located at the absolute tip of the state, Bidar is a great way to explore the rich textural culture of Karnataka. This Bidar Fort was built back in 1426 by the first Bahmani ruler, Sultan Ahmad Shah Wali. And it's truly is beautiful. The City of Bidar is protected by glacis or artificial slope, to keep assailants under fire, as well as moat and impressive stone fortifications with merlons reinforced with circular and pentagonal bastions.
