Day 1

Adiyogi is a term used to refer to the first yogi, according to the ancient Indian tradition of yoga. The word "Adi" means "first" and "Yogi" refers to someone who practices yoga.

In Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva is considered the first yogi and the Adiyogi. He is believed to have transmitted the knowledge and techniques of yoga to his seven disciples, known as the Saptarishis, during a seven and a half day period of intense spiritual teaching.

The Adiyogi is considered the originator of yoga and is revered as the ultimate symbol of transcendence, inner transformation, and spiritual liberation. The Adiyogi statue, a 112-foot tall statue of Lord Shiva situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is recognized as the largest bust sculpture in the world and is considered a landmark in the field of yoga and spirituality.
