Hey
Leh-Ladakh not only an adventure place but it consists of monasteries, temples, lakes, valleys and incredible backdrop. 7 to 8 days are ideal to explore Ladakh The various places that you can visit are:- Shanti Stupa : It is a Buddhist white-domed stupa. It is situated on hill top. Its beautiful architecture will memorize us.
Hall Of Fame : It is a museum that exhibits war weapons, various weapons etc. This museum built by Indian army. We come to know about various Soldiers who have sacrificed their life for our safety. Its truly pride taking moment.
Magnetic hill : I can say it as magical hill. It is a small stretch where it is appears to be uphill but it is downhill. We can also recollect our lessons about law of gravity.
Khardung-la Pass : It is the highest motarable road. It trills all the riders. I feel the best way to enjoy Kahrdung-la is in bike.
Nubra Valley : It is a tri- armed valley with stunning scenery. I can tell it is a truly breathtaking view.
Hundur Monastery : It is also known as Hundur Gompa. It is one of the Buddhist Monastery. It is known for its sand dues and cold deserts which surrounds it.
Diskit Monastery : It is the biggest Monastery i have ever seen. It has a gigantic Buddha statue on it. It is the oldest Monastery in Leh- Ladakh.
Pangong Lake : This lake is truly amazing. The view of this lake is mind blowing. I bet the picture of this lake will be our laptop and mobile screensaver for many days. One can say it as paradise on earth. It is situated at a height about 4350.

I visited Palampur, Bir, Billing and it's surrounding areas in the Kangra Valley. Very beautiful, and you can extend the trip for 1 week to really enjoy all that the place offers. The trip can be accessed here- https://www.tripoto.com/trip/of-nature-and-faith-a-trip-to-the-kangra-valley-3144. While we used car throughout, public transport is also available. This area is also connected through toy train.

The best place in India to travel during winters are: 1) Goa/Mumbai : I had visited Goa and Mumbai Christmas and New Year and one really gets to see the best of these places during that time! The festivals are celebrated with such vigour and the nightlife is at its best in Goa! Not just the nightclubs and cafes but the whole city becomes lively having fun in the really popular and huge music festivals. Might be a bit heavy on pocket since it's the peak season. 2) Jaipur (Rajasthan) : I visited Jaipur again during winters and since Jaipur is way too hot during summers therefore, I feel the best time to discover the forts and palaces of the pink city without getting bothered by the scrotching heat is during winters. The sun and the cold breeze is the best combination during the day. Nights can be colder. 3) Manali, Shimla, Mussourie (Himachal Pradesh/Uttarakhand) : For the ones who love snowfall and winter rains, these hillstations are divine. However, the weather can be too extreme sometimes and the roads may get blocked due to heavy snowfall. All the best :)
Hey Aamir, Goa is one of the best destinations for solo trip and for a group trip as well. If you are 5-8 hours drive distant from Goa you can choose to drive to Goa by car or better by bus as well so you can enjoy scenaries on the way to goa. also I would suggest choose wisely with respect to time which part of Goa you are planning to visit. e.g. North Goa or south Goa. Hi, There are a lot of places but it depends on your budget, visa statue and travel expectation plus are you travelling with kids or just adults? Not knowing the answer to the questions above, I can still recommend you Tanzania. You can take a week or 5 days Safari and just go wild into the wild, kids and adults will love this equally maybe kids a little bit more. Then you can go to Zanzibar to enjoy amazing islands and a relaxed gorgeous vacation. It s still hot there in October so you can go swimming. If Tanzania is too offbeat for you then Turkey is a great choice, north of Turkey where the nature will take the stress out of your system in amazing way and you can still enjoy couple hectic days in Istanbul Mexico, Colombia, some parts of Italy are also to be considered.
Hi Preet, if you like to travel to beaches then prefer going to Pondy or Gokarna. Both the places are amazing. Gokarna is mostly like a place where you go and do nothing and close to Gokarna there is Shimoga which is beautiful place. Pondy is one where you go take a beer sit at beach and mostly the cultural heritage is amazing. I can say both the places you can stay not more than 4 days. On the other hand Ooty and Coorg are hill stations. I don't know how Coorg is after the floods recently. But it's a beautiful place and so is Ooty. But these places are also for like 4 days one's.
There are other places like Wayanad, Hampi, Munnar, Kodaikanal, Mangalore etc., close by

I visited Ladakh last year in August. When you ask for best time, it is really subjective to what do you call a best time. In August, during the day it was really hot there and nights were pleasant. Also there was very little snow to be seen at Khardungla Pass which will be on your itinerary when you visist Ladakh. So weather wise August was not the best time. Also will you be going to Ladakh via Manali or Srinagar or directly landing there? If going via Manali, Rohtang Pass will be shut from October till April so that too will impact your decision. I would suggest going in end May/ June considering the route and weather in mind.
Choosing a trip to Spiti valley and Kasol is like choosing between Bade Ghulam Ali Khan and Honey Singh; one must need to fix what he/she wants to do in his trip; comparing these two places is utter stupidity. Ask yourself the following questions (presuming you are in a trip): Do you prefer: (a) a hectic trip with lots of travel via bad roads, (b) leisure relaxed travel via good roads
Can you pull yourself outside your comfort zone? (a) limited food, limited toilet facility, electricity crisis, (b) home like comfort
Are you rich? (a) No you really have limited budget. (b) You can spend a lot on this trip
Do you like crowded tourist places? (a) No (b) Yes
Do you like being close to the nature? (a) Yes, (b) No
Do you like exploring new culture? (a) Yes (b) Yes
Do you prefer: (a) barren Himalaya, (b) green Himalaya
Do you love photography? (a) Yes (b) Not that much
Do you smoke weeds and drink a lot? (a) No, (b) Yes
Do you love adventure? (a) Yes, (b) No
Now, if you find most of your answers are (a), choose Spiti else choose (b). Spiti is way too beautiful, calm and enjoyable place for a adventurous tourist compared to Kasol. Kasol hardly have any scenic beauty. If Spiti is Katrina Kaif Kasol is Sonam Kapoor. Kasol is Ganja paradise and full of Israeli hippies who just smoke and dance. It is very favourite place to college going teens for a weekend trip. In 7 days, you can do couple of treks near Kasol (Kheerganga, Malana Village etc), but honestly in terms of beauty they are nothing close to Spiti. A extensive trip to Spiti requires some fitness if you are alone and commuting via public transport. If you noticed question (6) has both options yes, well, if Kasol is mini Israel, Spiti is mini Tibet. The Buddhist culture in Spiti (Kaza, Tabo, Dhankar, Losar etc) is something nice to see. While Kasol is full of thugs, Spiti is blessed with some of the best humans I have ever seen. Now dont get me wrong that I am saying Spiti is better than Kasol. Kasol is not a worthy place in terms of natural beauty, it is a place to spend lazy weekend, smoke hashish etc. It is entirely depends on the tourists purpose.
