5:30 p.m.: Great idea to save the evening for a boat ride and a memorable stroll around Ooty Lake. You can choose from paddle, row or motor boats here.

How to Reach Ooty?
By Air: Coimbatore Airport is the closest to Ooty (100 kilometres) and the drive to the hamlet takes about three hours.
By Train: Hop onto the toy train from Mettupalayam or Coonoor to Ooty. The ride is a picturesque one, offering many fun-filled moments and photo opportunities. The former is a 5-hour joyride while the latter takes less than 1.5 hours.
By Road: Ooty’s easy accessibility from Bangalore (278 kilometres) and Kozhikode (157 kilometres) make it a popular weekend getaway option from both cities. Not to mention the drive in the Nilgiris, which is definitely a beautiful one.
