Okay..here I start. I reached Goa on 22nd feb night. We were a group of 8 and we booked a villa from AirBnb in Anjuna. I preferred to stay in Anjuna because it's bit far from the noisy crowed places.
Our trip started from 23rd morning. We rented scooties from a nearby shop. We had a light breakfast and we went to Morjim. We had booked a 3 hours package with Konkan Explorers which includes cruising on yacht in Chapora river , swimming in Chapora river... very much safe for non swimmers too and the best was kayaking in the mangroves. So the trip was from 10.30 am to 1: 30 am. After this we had some food and went to Arambol beach. From there we went to sweet water lake which is just 10 mins walking distance from the main beach. It's basically a lake... Safe for swimming and really a good place to relax. Almost 95 percentage of the tourist here are Europeans.
We were sitting there till the afternoon and then had some photo session in the beach and then started towards Ashwem beach to see the sunset. If you are tired you can see the sunset in Arambol beach itself.
Ashwem beach is a very quite and peaceful beach. Viewing Sunset from there was just a bliss.
After all these we returned to our villa..took rest and at night we went to Arpora night market. It's open till 3 am night only on Saturday and you will find lots of things to buy , do bargain a lot and moreover you will get a Goan feel over there. We had dinner and returned to our villa and that's it for Day 1
Day 2 we started bit late. We started towards South Goa. We visited Basillica of Bom Jesus church. It's a good place to visit. We spent some time there and opposite of it there is Se Cathedral which is also a good place to visit.
Then we had lunch and went to Lady of Immaculate church. This is a very beautiful church. You can get really good photos here.
Then we went to Dona Paula. Unfortunately the place where Singham shooting happened was closed for some reason. We had some drinks there to keep ourselves energized. Now we started towards the north from there.
Now for alcohol lovers , just while crossing Panjim you will find few liquor shops. The price is less than 50 percent what we pay normally. So grab alcohol from there , they will give you proper bills and all.
On the way you will find good spots for photo sessions.
We went to Aguarda Fort from there, it's a nice place to visit , you will get to see the historical things. Near the fort there is a light house. You can climb it by paying only Rs 10 person. You will be mesmerized with the view.
From there we went to Sinquerim beach which is very near to the fort. There we had excellent cheese pav bhajis .
After seeing the sunset there..we returned to our villa. We decided to go for the compulsory clubbing in Goa in Titos. Sunday seems to be ladies night and free entry for ladies. It's one of the best pubs in Goa.
It's open till 3 am so you can enjoy a lot..!! That's all for 2nd day.
After last night's party waking up in the next day must definitely be late.
We went to Orzan beach spent some time in the morning over there. Trust me Orzan beach is just a beautiful secret place to relax. The beach is also safe for taking a bath. This place has really won my heart. If you are tired then this is the place to relax. Then we went to the famous Chapora fort , it's also a very good place with great views from the top. You can click so many photos. Dil Chahta Hai 's shoot took place here. Take water bottles with you as it was very hot.
After that we went to Curlies Shack in Anjuna and had a Goan lunch there. It's expensive but it's good.
From Curlies we went to Baga and Calangute. As expected too much crowd. Like those who like whole day party can stay in Baga or Calangute.
But we had a good time over there , playing in the sea and yes sunset from sea was awesome. After that we returned to our villa. We had dinner in Burger Factory, I would say they have the best burger in India. Milkshake was also yummy. Overall we finished our day with a great dinner.
Next day we woke up at 5 am as we had to start for Dudhsagar. We hired a cab to go to Dudhsagar. It's recommended to do online booking from ticketpappa.com . We booked the 8.15 am slot so we started at 5.30 am as it's 90kms from Anjuna.
You will love the road journey, just before reaching Dudhsagar the roads will covered in fog and a great view.
You have to leave your cab at a point and stand in the queue. There is shop opposite to the ticket counter where you can have a small breakfast.
Stand in the online queue. You will be called. One jeep will charge 3500 INR and will accommodate 7 people. Then 40 INR per head for renting life jacket . With these you boarded the jeep . Before entering the sanctuary you will have to pay 50INR per head.
We entered the forest and there is one temple inside it and only that family lives in the forest. You can get feni from them. The jeep will drop you at a certain point and from there you have to walk n trek to reach the Dudhsagar falls. They will give you 1.5 hours time and after that 300INR for every extra 1 hour. We enjoyed the trek a lot and the natural beauty was too refreshing and beautiful. After trekking we reached the falls , do carry an extra set of clothes with you and there are change rooms available . Get into the pond , the water was very cold but it was fun. There will be friendly fishes who will play with you. We spent 2.5 hours there and the the jeep dropped us to the starting point and we returned to our villa in our cab.
We were excited about the water sports so we went to Anjuna beach at 4 pm. They have a package of 4 water sports at 1400INR. We did all the four which were jetski , bumper boat, banana boat and para sailing. Jetski and Para sailing was ok. But they were not even professional in taking care of the tourists. So I would recommend not to try watersports in Goa. In Baga beach it was 2100 INR which is also same. With this we were fully tired and came back to our villa and jumped into the pool(our villa had a swimming pool).
With this we completed our most awaited Goa trip and at night we had our return flights.
Things to note:
1. Whenever you are hiring bikes and scooters, check the condition of it. Make sure you bargain like hell.
On weekends Maximum you can pay is 350 INR per day per scooter. Weekdays , maximum 300 INR per day per scooter. This is in seasons and for off season definitely less than this.
2. Always wear helmet and the rider should have his license with him always
3. Try to hire black number plate scooters as it has permit allover. White number plates have only for South Goa/ north Goa
4. Google maps are quite accurate . Vodafone is the best. Jio is also fine.
